Security

Diamond's industry-leading safety record is a testament to our commitment to protecting you and your passengers through an extensive suite of active and passive safety features. Active safety features serve as the first line of defense, helping to prevent accidents before they occur. Passive safety features are designed to minimize the likelihood and severity of injuries in the event of an accident. The DA62 offers the ultimate in safety, combining superior maneuverability, stability, and control with ease of operation and structural, systems, and powerplant redundancy, all backed by a high level of crashworthiness.

Propulsion and Avionics

The DA62 series is powered by a single power lever controlling two Austro Engine 180hp AE330s. For more information on our sister company Austro Engine, please visit [https://www.diamondaircraft.com/en/austro-engine/about/]. The 3-blade MT hydraulic constant-speed propellers offer advanced blade geometry for efficient performance, smoothness, and low noise. Feathering, controlled automatically by the digital engine control of each engine, is as simple as flipping a single switch. The DA62's AE330 180 hp jet-fuel piston engines are a refinement of the proven AE300 170 hp engine that has powered Diamond's DA40 and DA42 since 2009. The fully integrated Garmin G1000NXi is complemented by a long list of avionics options to perfectly suit your mission, including integrated weather radar and Synthetic Vision. The Garmin G1000NXi flight deck comes standard with a 3-axis GFC700 Autopilot, yaw damper, and Electronic Stability Protection.

Fuselage

The sleek all-carbon composite fuselage combines advanced aerodynamics with the latest passive safety technology for high performance, exceptional efficiency, and superior occupant protection. Easy access for all occupants is ensured by two forward-hinged gullwing doors and a large rear door providing full access to the rear seats. Baggage is stowed in spacious nose compartments and in-cabin storage, offering maximum loading flexibility for any mission.
