Propulsion and Avionics

Equipped with the Garmin G1000NXi integrated flight deck, standard 3-axis GFC700 Autopilot, yaw damper, and Electronic Stability Protection, the DA42 offers advanced flight capabilities. Powered by 168-horsepower Austro Engine jet-fuel engines, each with over 2.5 million hours of reliable flight time across 2,300+ engines, the DA42 boasts exceptional reliability. The aircraft is powered by the Austro Engine 168hp AE300, controlled by a single power lever. For more information on our sister company, Austro Engine, please click here. The 3-blade MT hydraulic constant-speed propellers provide efficient, quiet, and smooth operation thanks to their advanced blade geometry. Feathering of each propeller, automatically controlled by the digital engine control, is as simple as the press of a button. Fully integrated Garmin G1000 NXi, supported by a range of optional avionics such as integrated weather radar and Synthetic Vision, ensures you are perfectly equipped for any flight mission.
